The System Fails. We Don't. |
Four months pregnant and suddenly homeless. That was Joan's reality when the Eaton fire destroyed everything she owned—including precious baby items gifted by neighbors. "I felt like I had no support, no sense of family. I was very depressed," she told us.
But because of supporters like you, Joan received essential items, doula care, emergency cash, and a community that showed up. Last month, she gave birth to a baby boy and named him Eaton—a powerful reclamation of her story. Despite his early arrival, she felt prepared and empowered. That's what we do at Mama2Mama: We're the village that shows up when systems fail. |
Brunch for Hope: Your Generosity in Action |
Last weekend, our community gathered to hear the stories of mothers like Joan, Imani, and Beatriz. Each story illustrated the critical importance of our work: providing support during the vulnerable fourth trimester when mothers are healing, bonding with their babies, and often facing impossible circumstances.
Our guests created handmade wreaths and wrote heartfelt Mother's Day cards—delivered directly to mothers in our programs, ensuring they feel seen and celebrated by our wider community this Mother’s Day. We raised an incredible $42,000 toward our $50,000 goal! |
This Mother's Day, Complete Our Village |
We need $8,000 more to fully fund: |
- 25 more mothers at the border ($6,500)
- 50 more mothers displaced by wildfires ($25,000)
- 10 single mothers needing rental assistance ($15,000)

Whatever you give, you're giving stability. You're giving dignity. You're giving a mother the confidence to say, "I can do this." Because babies don't wait. And neither should essential support for their mothers. |
Happy Mother's Day from all of us at Mama2Mama. We're building this village together. |
