We've been where we need to be: with mothers who need support.
Monthly Wildfire Relief Pop-Up
We hosted our monthly pickup for mothers in our wildfire relief program. A dozen moms came through to get essentials—like diapers, wipes, hygiene items, clothes, books for their kids and more.
The fires aren't in the news anymore, but families are still rebuilding. We keep showing up because recovery doesn't happen on media timelines.
DENA Home Market
At the DENA Home Market Summer Fest on June 1st, we connected with dozens of new families navigating fire recovery. While contractors talked about rebuilding structures, we focused on connecting families to support.
Every new family we meet is someone who now knows where to turn when they need help during the fourth trimester.
LAist's Super-Fun Saturday
Next Saturday, June 14th, we're sponsoring the family rest area at LAist's Super-Fun Saturday at the Autry Museum. We're creating a nursing and quiet space where mothers can slow down.
Family events often expect mothers to facilitate everyone else's fun. We're making space for their needs too. We'll have supplies and program information, but mostly we'll just be there.
Each event connects to the bigger picture: building a support system for mothers and birthing people.
Our work addresses real needs: access to essentials, spaces that accommodate parents in all stages, and ongoing connection during vulnerable times. We're building the kind of fourth trimester care that makes a difference, one relationship at a time.
