U.S. Partnerships
We ensure that mothers and birthing people are empowered to navigate their experiences and have equitable access to crucial resources in partnership with several organizations.
Our partnerships drive positive change for the postpartum well-being of mothers and birthing people. In the U.S., specifically Los Angeles and San Diego Counties, our partners include:
- immigration rights and legal aid services;
- direct family-first programs such as home visiting; and
- economic justice and equity programs, including guaranteed income programs.
NCJW|LA’s Pregnancy Assistance Income with Dignity (P.A.I.D.) Guaranteed Income program aims to develop a plan for change and show how maternal health and poverty are connected.
Mama2Mama uplifts and supports P.A.I.D. mothers and birthing people with essential items for birth and postpartum, through our Hospital Go Bags and Postpartum Care Kits, which include items such as breast pumps, thermometers, positive affirmation cards, perineal bottles, hydration packs, and nipple cream.
Mama2Mama partners with Foothill Family’s Teen and Family programs and provides Mother’s Day Care Kits to young and teen mothers in the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys, supporting postpartum recovery and early motherhood. Through this partnership, Mama2Mama supports mother-centered and family-first policies and resource flows, ensuring that young parents are empowered to make informed decisions for self and family.
We are looking for partners who support research and data collection and who advocate for mother-centered policies, such as eligibility for public programs and the removal of barriers that prevent women and birthing people from receiving timely and appropriate care after childbirth.
