MamaMama is committed to supporting pregnant and postpartum families throughout this challenging time. The devastation caused by the wildfires has left many families without homes, essential items, and stability. Our Wildfire Relief Fund: Support for Pregnant & Postpartum Families is providing cash aid for pregnant and postpartum families directly impacted by the fires.
We hope to provide multiple rounds of cash aid as funds are available, every 90 days. Below are the important dates to note for the first round of direct cash aid. We will continue to update this information so please check back.

Round 2 Direct Cash Aid for Pregnant & Postpartum Families
Wednesday, April 30th – Applications Open
Saturday, May 10th 11:59PM PST – Applications Close
Wednesday, May 14th – Funding Announcement
ELIGIBILITY for cash aid applicants:
- Must be currently pregnant or child’s birthdate is on or after January 1, 2024;
- Must have been a resident of Los Angeles County on January 7, 2025;
- Must be 18 years or older;
- Must be affected by the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires in terms of loss, severe damage, or lack of access to one’s home, workplace/income, or school;
- Must have a household income at or below Area Median Income for Los Angeles County (please see page 8 for more information), which is contingent upon number of persons in household:
- 1 person: $68,750
- 2 persons: $78,550
- 3 persons: $88,400
- 4 persons: $98,200
- 5 persons: $106,050
- 6 persons: $113,900
- 7 persons $121,750
- 8 persons: $129,600
- Must submit only one complete application per household.

To receive cash aid from Mama2Mama, applicants must have access to a smart phone or email. Disbursements of funds are made electronically.
Together, we will recover, rebuild and strengthen our community.
Applicants must email [email protected] the following documentation:
- Documentation of one’s impacted home address on January 7, 2025 that includes the applicant’s name and address as listed in the application. Examples accepted:
- Most recent utility bill
- Current driver’s license or State-issued identification card
- Current rental or lease agreement (entered into on or before January 7, 2025)
- Current bank or mortgage statement
- Current health insurance statement or medical bill
- Current statement of government benefits, such as SSI, SSDI, SNAP, etc.
- Current home or renters insurance policy, or other similar materials
- Documentation of total household income. Examples accepted:
- Most recent paystubs
- Most recent W2
- Statement of 1040
- Recent month’s bank statement
- Public benefits statement if receiving public benefits
- Documentation of household size. Examples include:
- Statement of 1040
- Marriage records
- School records
- Birth certificates
- Documentation of workplace loss if applicable. Examples accepted:
- Most recent paystub
- Proof of employment which can include an email, phone call, or letter from employer
- Documentation of school or childcare loss if applicable. Examples accepted:
- Current enrollment contract or invoice from preschool/childcare provider
- An email, letter, or phone call from preschool/childcare provider
